The service and jurisdiction area of the Invermere Fire Rescue extends to the geographical boundaries of the District. The department consists of just a Fire Chief.

The department provides fire protection services as well as assistance in the following circumstances:

  • Rescue
  • Pre-fire planning
  • Disaster planning
  • Preventative patrols
  • Other emergency incidents

The services provided by Invermere Fire Rescue have been established under Bylaw 1420 Fire and Life Safety Bylaw.
