2025 Annual Report: https://invermere.civicweb.net/filepro/documents/9116/?preview=62142

The District of Invermere’s 2025 Annual Report is now available to read. Each year we publish this report to share what we accomplished, how we managed your tax dollars, and where we are headed next. It is part of our commitment to open, accountable local government, and it is prepared in keeping with the Community Charter.

A few of the highlights from 2025:

  • Council adopted an updated Strategic Plan, naming First Nations relations, lake health, and land as our highest priorities for 2025 to 2027.
  • We deepened our relationships with the ʔakisq̓nuk First Nation and the Shuswap Band, including a shared-values meeting on the future of Lake Windermere.
  • We invested in core infrastructure, from the Toby Creek dike upgrades that protect our wastewater treatment plant to our continued paving program.
  • Growth stayed strong, with 69 building permits worth more than $23 million and 39 new homes, alongside a minor Official Community Plan update.
  • Our Fire and Emergency Services completed 110 fire safety inspections and prepared a new fire engine for service.

There is much more in the full report, including messages from the Mayor and the Chief Administrative Officer, departmental highlights, and the consolidated financial statements.
