Athalmer Neighbourhood Plan Engagement Update
On June 25, 2020 the Athalmer Neighbourhood Plan project team hosted a Public Information Session to share details about the plan and preliminary Public Land concepts. 43 people attended the session. Questions and comments were collected during the session and through emails sent in from the community. The project team appreciates everyone’s participation in the process.

Presentation can be found here: Athalmer Public Presentation
Note: In the original presentation, on slide 26, the Lakeside Village Model was presented as the “recommended approach”. This was an error that has since been corrected by District Administration. The more appropriate introduction for this preliminary concept option is “Balanced Approach”.
Thank you for your feedback!
The project team received 9 emails and 57 questions and comments during the presentation from 18 community members. Questions and feedback received will help inform future draft concepts. The document below shares the comments received and responses to questions.
Next Steps – Public Land Concepts Engagement
Based on community feedback received to date, the preliminary Public Land concepts will be further refined. Over the summer, the project team will host another virtual information session to answer questions about the Public Land concepts and provide more information about some of the trade-offs and benefits for the range of options. Updates will be made to the concepts based on feedback received to date. Details about the next phase of engagement will be posted through the website, promoted in the community and emailed to our stakeholder list.
