The By-Election is coming up on March 4, 2023. Individuals who would like to run for Council in the 2023 by-election can pick up nomination packages starting Monday, December 19^th at Municipal Office (914 – 8^th Avenue) Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or request an electronic package at corporateservices@invermere.net.  Please note that the Municipal office will be closed for the week of December 26^th – December 30^th and will be re-opening January 2^nd, 2023.

Nomination papers must be completed and submitted to the Chief Election Officer, or designate, between Tuesday, January at 9:00 a.m. (MT) and Friday, January 27 at 4:00 p.m. (MT). Eligible candidates must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years of age on election day, have lived in British Columbia for at least six months before the nomination date and not be disqualified from being nominated, elected or holding office.
