Snowflake Festival (Updated Jan 24)

Mother Nature has decided to shake things up this year! District of Invermere has made the difficult decision to cancel the fireworks and ice carver originally scheduled for Friday evening as part of the Invermere Snowflake Festival. While this is disappointing, don’t worry…the Snowflake Festival is still ON!!

Despite this unseasonably warm weather, the Bonspiel on the Lake Ice Crew from the Invermere & District Curling Centre have been working tirelessly to prepare the ice. Optimism is high that the Bonspiel will go ahead as planned this weekend and we are cheering them on every step of the way!!!

This year’s modified Snowflake Festival will still bring the energy and winter magic with an exciting lineup to keep spirits high and toes warm! Featuring the local band Rockinomix who will bringing the energy live on stage, cozy fire pits to gather around with friends & family and a spectacular fire performance by the A-Muse Troupe, a must-see highlight of the evening!

Usually we are trying to keep the band warm on stage but this year, winter decided to take it easy on us! We hope you will still come out, enjoy the entertainment, support the festival, and celebrate winter… whatever version of it decides to show up!
