NOTICE OF INTENT: FIRST READING OF ZONING BYLAW AMENDMENT NO. 1691, 2026

The Council of the District of Invermere gives notice that First Reading of Zoning Bylaw Amendment No. 1691, 2026 will be considered at a Regular Meeting of Council on Tuesday April 28th, 2026 at 7:00 pm MT, at the District of Invermere Municipal Office located at 914 – 8th Avenue, Invermere, B.C. Council will be considering an application by the Statesman Developments, B.C Ltd. to amend the R-3A Zoning within the District of Invermere Zoning Bylaw No. 1145, 2002. The amendment is initiated by a development proposal on the following property:

Civic Address: 1923 Pine Ridge Mountain Run (Subject property outlined on the inserted map below)

Legal Description: Lot 4, District Lot 7882, Kootenay District Plan NEP86643  PID: 027-527-042 (Subject Property)

 

 

The intent of Bylaw No. 1691, 2026 is to amend the current R-3A Zoning regulations which do not address parcel size or setbacks for a subdivision which creates common wall Duplex residences. The Amendment will allow for Development of common wall Duplex Residences utilizing a Bareland Strata subdivision process.

No Public Hearing will be held as the application is consistent with the District of Invermere Official Community Plan Land Use, Section 3.2 Residential which identifies the Subject Parcel as future Residential Growth permitting Duplex and Multi Family Residential development.

A copy of proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw No. 1691, 2026 and related documents may be inspected at the District of Invermere Municipal Office at 914 – 8th Avenue, Invermere, B.C., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm MT from April 7, 2026, to April 27, 2026. The proposed bylaw may be inspected online at the District of Invermere website: https://invermere.net/news/

Persons who wish to provide written comment on the proposed bylaw can submit them in one of the following ways:

  • Mailed or hand delivered to the District of Invermere Office at 914 – 8th Avenue, PO Box 339, Invermere, BC V0A 1K0, provided they are received not later than 12:00 pm noon MT, Monday April 27th, 2026
  • Email to info@invermere.net by 12:00 pm noon MT, Monday April 27th, 2026

Written comments received will be distributed to Council for their consideration prior to or at the April 28th, 2026, Council meeting.
