RDEK Transfer Station accepting carbon monoxide alarms

We are happy to share that the RDEK Transfer Station located in Invermere will now be accepting smoke and carbon monoxide alarms for recycling. The Invermere Transfer Station is located at Industrial 1 Rd in Athalmer.

Residents may drop off up to 40 smoke or CO alarms at once.

Accepted Products

✔️ Smoke alarms

✔️ Carbon monoxide (CO) alarms

✔️ Combination smoke/CO alarms

Not Accepted Products

❌ Thermostats

❌ Alarm keypads

❌ Physically damaged smoke alarms

❌ Building-wide smoke/CO detector units

❌ Smoke detectors without an alarm function (typically installed in commercial buildings)
