Take the Invermere Housing Needs Assessment Survey

 In Community, Home

The District of Invermere is currently conducting a housing needs assessment, which all BC municipalities are now required to complete every five years. Housing needs assessment reports help communities to better understand their current and future housing needs. These reports can help identify existing and projected gaps in housing supply by collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative information about local demographics, economics, housing stock, and other factors. A housing needs report is critical to developing a housing strategy or action plan.

The District’s housing needs assessment is being funded by the BC Government and by the District of Invermere. The Whistler Centre for Sustainability has been hired to assist the District with this project.

In order to supplement the quantitative data from Statistics Canada Census, BC Housing, BC Assessment, etc., we are conducting an online survey to seek community input on housing needs and demands. Your input will be important to help us to better understand the specific housing needs in our community. The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete, and will close on May 22nd at 12:00am.

Respondents who complete the survey will have a chance to enter a draw for one of two $50 gift cards to a local business of their choice.
