Electric Car Charging
Within the District of Invermere, there are 2 electric car charging stations:
- Outside the District of Invermere building – located at 914 8th Avenue in downtown Invermere.
FAST CHARGER – one car at a time, planning for a second station - Next to the Rotary Public Washrooms – located on the north side of downtown Invermere’s large parking lot, on the backside of 7th Avenue and 13th Street
SLOW CHARGER – one car at a time
Wildsight Invermere's Spark
Wildsight Invermere has created Spark! — Columbia Valley’s electric vehicle share program — to build awareness around the viability of electric vehicles and to provide an accessible low-carbon transportation option for Columbia Valley residents.
The District of Invermere is supporting this project by providing a second electric car charging station designated for this electric vehicle share program.
Accelerate Kootenays
Accelerate Kootenays is an initiative of the Regional Districts of East Kootenay, Central Kootenay and Kootenay Boundary that aims to create an electric vehicle (EV) charging station network so EV travel to and within the region is convenient and reliable.
