WELCOME BACK TO THE LIBRARY!

We are so pleased to open our doors to you, but we have had to make a few changes to keep you safe:

  • If you feel sick, please come back another day when you feel better
  • Please keep 6 feet or 2 meters between yourself and others
  • Curb side pick-up will continue even after we open the doors
  • The library is open for browsing and borrowing.
  • There is a public washroom available downstairs in the community centre.
  • Computer use is available. Please call ahead if you need a specific time.
  • The mezzanine is open for studying and working.
  • The inter library loan system is up and running.

The Invermere Public Library serves the Columbia Valley from Spillimacheen to Canal Flats, and celebrated 50 years of incorporation in 2013.

The library is located inside the Columbia Valley Centre at 646 4th Street in Invermere.

The Invermere Public Library Board is made up of local residents who are appointed to the board for two year terms. The District of Invermere appoints two Invermere residents and one council member.  The Regional Dirstrict of East Kootenay appoints two residents from Area F, one resident from Area G, and one resident from the Village of Canal Flats.

On the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m, the library trustees and library director meet at the library in the mezzanine. This meeting is open to the public. If you would like to attend, please contact the library for more information and to confirm meeting time and location.
