The feeding of deer is prohibited within the District of Invermere and wildlife attractants must be removed to avoid conflict with bears, deer and other wildlife. Attractants include food waste or any other material that is likely to attract wildlife.

All domestic garbage must be stored inside where it’s inaccessible to wildlife prior to garbage pick-up or disposal at an approved site. No domestic garbage can be placed curbside for pick-up prior to 8:00 a.m. on a regularly schedule garbage pick-up day.

To report a conflict with wildlife that threatens public safety or report an environmental violation or poaching call 1-877-952-7277 (RAPP).
