NOTICE OF INTENT Development Variance Permit 26.05 502 – 13th Street Invermere Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena

Notice is hereby given to property owners within 50 metres of the subject property indicated above. Property owners are required to provide all tenants, leaseholders, and occupants with a copy of this notice.
The District of Invermere is considering a Development Variance Permit application to:
- Vary Section 5.24(3)(b) of District of Invermere Zoning Bylaw No. 1145, 2002, which establishes minimum exterior side parcel line setbacks within the P-1 Public Institutional Zone, and Section 5.24 (3)(d) which establishes parcel coverage limits as summarized in Table 1 below.

The requested variance is required to reflect the current occupancy of the site and to permit the replacement a dehumidifier unit at the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena on the subject parcel as shown below. The proposed dehumidifying unit will be located on the North side of the arena adjacent to the current Rockies Hockey Club dressing room and ice cooling plant.
Proposed DVP 26.05 Variance location:
Decision on the Development Variance permit will be made by the Director of Development Services, acting as the District of Invermere Development Variance Board and as a Council appointed Delegated Authority. The DVP decision will be made at 10:00 am MT on Thursday, June 16th, 2026, at the District of Invermere Municipal Office, 914 8th Avenue, Invermere, B.C.
