2026 Property Tax Notices Now Mailed

Property tax notices for the District of Invermere have been mailed to all property owners on record. If you have not received yours, please contact our office right away and we will arrange a copy.

Please note that failure to receive a tax notice does not remove the responsibility to pay by the deadline.

Key Dates

Taxes are due July 2, 2026. A 5% penalty will be added to any unpaid current taxes after that date, including unclaimed Home Owner Grants. An additional 5% penalty applies after July 31, 2026.

Home Owner Grant

The Home Owner Grant is now processed directly by the Province of BC. The District no longer accepts applications. To claim your grant, check your eligibility, or get more information visit gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or call 1-888-355-2700. You must claim by July 2, 2026 to avoid a penalty.

Tax Deferment

New and renewal deferment applications are handled by the Province at gov.bc.ca/propertytaxdeferment. Please note you must still claim your Home Owner Grant by July 2, 2026 even if you are deferring.

Payment Options

You can pay through online banking, pre-authorized withdrawal, or in person at the Municipal Office. To view your tax account details and bill summary, register for Online Services at invermere.net.
