Notice is hereby given to property owners within 50 metres of the subject property indicated above.   Property owners are required to provide all tenants, leaseholders, and occupants with a copy of this notice.

The District of Invermere is considering a Development Variance Permit application by BRT Consulting Ltd. to:


  1. Vary Zoning Bylaw 1145, 2002 Section 5.15(3)(d), C-1 Downtown Commercial Zone to allow a fourth story while achieving the 15.0m maximum height limit.  Section 5.15(3)(d) specifies a maximum height of 15.0m or a three-story maximum whichever is less and,


  1. Vary Section 5.15(1)(s) C-1 Downtown Commercial Zone allowing for ground level commercial.   which restricts residential to above ground level commercial.  Section 5.15(1)(s) restricts residential occupancy to above the ground floor,


In order to accommodate the phased construction of a proposed 11-unit, townhouse residential development located behind proposed commercial development along the street frontage at 510-14th Street, Invermere.

Council will consider the Development Variance Permit at its regular meeting of Council on June 8, 2021.  If you believe that this permit affects your interest in the property, you may fax written comments to (250) 342-2934, email to  or drop them off at the District of Invermere Office, by Monday June 7, at 2:00pm.
