Active Transportation Network Plan Webinar
Join us on December 3rd, 2020 (3pm or 6pm) for a Zoom Webinar where we will present the Draft Active Transportation Network Plan.
The Draft Active Transportation Network Plan was developed for the District of Invermere and Shuswap Indian Band.
This fall, we asked the community for your input on walking and cycling infrastructure and issues, opportunities, and community priorities. With this information, we’ve developed a draft plan that will be presented at one of two online webinars offered through Zoom on December 3rd.
Purpose of the Webinar
To present the Draft Active Transportation Plan including:
- The long-term walking and cycling infrastructure network
- Policy recommendations
- Opportunities for an additional active transportation crossing between Invermere and Shuswap Indian Band
- Answer your questions and collect your feedback
We’d love for you to sit back in the comfort of your home, watch the presentation and submit questions and provide feedback. Once you have registered, you will be provided with a webinar link that will allow you sign-on to the online session on December 3rd.

About the Active Transportation Network Plan
The District of Invermere and Shuswap Indian Band are committed to making active transportation a more convenient, safe, attractive, and fun transportation choice for people of all ages and abilities.
Both communities are working together to create a joint Active Transportation Network Plan. The Network Plan will enhance active transportation connections within and between the two communities. The intent of the District of Invermere and Shuswap Indian Band joint Active Transportation Network Plan is to build off the 2009 plan, which was only focused within Invermere boundaries, and expand it to evaluate and plan for the possible connection options over the Columbia River between the Shuswap Indian Band and the Invermere communities.
This project will provide the Shuswap Indian Band with an Active Transportation Network Plan with connectivity to the District of Invermere and will also allow the District of Invermere to update the 2009 Plan and integrate it with Shuswap Indian Band.
